Seven modules, each ending with something you can apply the next week rather than a topic you have merely heard of.
Managing Safely is often compared with the NEBOSH General Certificate. How the two differ.
- Introducing managing safely
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding responsibilities
- Understanding hazards
- Investigating incidents
- Measuring performance
Who it is for
Line managers, supervisors and anyone who carries responsibility for other people at work.
It assumes no prior health and safety training, which is why it works well for people who have picked up the duty alongside another role.
Assessment and certification
Assessment
A multiple-format assessment covering the taught material, sat at the end of the course.
Project
A risk assessment based on your own workplace, so the output is something you can actually use.
Your certificate
Pass both and IOSH (UK) issues the Managing Safely certificate directly to you.
